POSITION SUMMARY
The Trip Driver/Leader is responsible for driving and leading scheduled Day Trips, Excursions, Hiking and Activities in a safe and efficient manner.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
The list of examples of work is not all-inclusive. They establish a flexible, functional base from which the incumbent operates. Modifications with additions, deletions, or changes are required in achieving organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the passengers on the vehicle and following the pre-planned Must be able to program a GPS device and/or follow driving directions provided for each trip.
- Have some knowledge of Colorado highways and tourist destinations throughout
- Have a positive attitude, preparedness, and ability to follow job
- Driver must be dependable, flexible, and adaptable to meet the needs of participants and
- The ability to work with groups of people, communicate clearly and effectively and collaborate as part of a team.
- Enjoy working with the community, especially the senior
- Must follow and understand all City of Englewood Parks and Recreation Policies and Procedures
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Must be 18 years old
- Must pass background check
- Must be able to have one-year experience in related
- An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant job experience is
- Job requires driving a 14 passenger (No CDL required) bus or passenger vans
- All drivers must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving A current copy of your motor vehicle record will be required.
- CPR and First Aid certified
WORKING CONDITIONS/LOCATIONS
The candidate must have the sufficient strength, agility and flexibility to accomplish the job. Must have the adequate hearing and vision to drive the vehicle safely. Must have the physical stamina to lead a trip from the minimum of 3 to sometimes 10 hour a day.
OTHER
Meals and entry to activities, tour and events for Driver/Leader are paid for by the city. Please Note: Qualified Applicants with a valid Commercial Drivers’ License are eligible to receive a higher rate of pay.
HOURLY RATE
$15.00-18.00/hour
