Position Description:
CGI is seeking a Data Engineer experienced with Data Analysis and building ETL pipelines to extract and transform data in batch mode as well as in real-time. The candidate should be able to set up all DevOps related activities and orchestrations and execution runbooks for an end-to-end implementation.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Participates in analysis, design, and ETL development as part of Agile / Scrum Develop Team.
• Understands data mapping and data modeling methodologies including normal form, star, and snowflake to reduce data redundancy and improve data integrity.
• Assist analytical teams with the design and implementation of Data solutions and systems, including integration with Operational Datastores and Data Warehouses, both on-premises and in the Cloud.
• Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with Scrum Team and Leadership to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
• Participates and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Identifies and implement process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Create ETL development build and deployment automation process.
• Creation of CI/CD pipelines.
• Responsible to build docker image and a containerized deployment.
• Lead offshore team of data engineers.
• Take Ownership on Delivery of Projects.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 5+ years of experience with writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures in MS SQL Server environment
• Must be proficient in Pyspark/Databricks
• Experienced in ETL development methodologies, error handling, reprocessing, alerting.
• Must have 3+ year experience in ETL tools like DBT, Spark, Talend, ADF etc.
• Experience working in Cloud Environment Azure strongly preferred.
• Good working knowledge of Python
• Experience with Azure Hosted MS-SQL Server
• 1+ years with PostgreSQL
• Must have experience with large volume of data.
• Must have experience integration with Kafka
• 2+ Years with handling unstructured data
• Demonstrate experience in Performance Tuning.
• Experience with AI/ML is a Plus
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or like products
• Experience with PowerShell scripts, modules and functions or Azure CLI
• Experience with containers and/or serverless computing, microservices, functions, event-driven/reactive programming or other cloud-native architectures
• Experience with source control repositories such as GIT

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $53,100 – $156,700.
