Job Description
We are looking for a top quality Technical Product Manager to join the SquareTrade team. In this role you’ll be the “technology bridge” between the business and technical teams, you will be one of the faces of SquareTrade to our solution provider and partners and you will represent them to our internal development teams. This includes leading cross-functional
teams to define business objectives, devise effective solutions, and manage their implementation. Last but not least, you will also work with both external and internal stakeholders to ensure the overall success of this new capability.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with external/internal business stakeholders, tech lead/architect, product managers, analytics,legal, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand and publish requirements to development team
- Understand technical capabilities of our systems and our partners’
- Understand available and potential implementation techniques and propose the most appropriate approach
- Formulate technical strategies and tactics to scale our service architecture to support clients globally
- Understand high-level business objectives and continually align the Trade-In implementation roadmap to needs of the business
- Improve team SDLC processes to increase transparency, effectiveness, and quality
- Take ownership of team, managing and mentoring team members toward deliverables and project completion
- Provide technical support to pre-sales and post-sales situations
Qualifications
- Developer background and BS in engineering or computer science is highly desired. MBA or other business background a plus
- 3+ years technical product management experience
- Successful track record of managing project against deadlines
- The ability to understand customer issues and map high level business issues to the technical solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, to both technical and business audiences
- Ability to be the primary point of contact with external partners, stakeholders
- Knowledge of Scrum, and JIRA will be helpful
