We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Event Marketing Manager to join our Walmart GoLocal event marketing team. Y ou will work closely with the event marketing team lead to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of all marketing initiatives related to our participation in B2B trade shows , industry events, conferences, and regional field marketing activations. This includes aiding in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive sales for Walmart GoLocal. You will also collaborate with all sales and customer facing teams to ensure that our event marketing efforts are aligned with their goals , KPIs , and objectives . You will make an impact by:
- Helping to d efine Walmart GoLocal’s event marketing strategy with a clear understanding of the market opportunity , client segments , and targeting .
- I mplementing event marketing plans for B2B trade shows, including pre-show, during -show, and post-show activities as part of integrated omni-channel campaigns that bring new leads to the pipeline and nurture down through the funnel .
- Manag ing all logistics and duties related to trade show participation, including travel, booth set-up, shipping, staff coordination , on-site support , etc.
- Recommending levels of investment and participation at strategic industry events (team attendance, sponsorship, speaking, exhibiting , etc.)
- Defining KPIs and forecasts, and delivering against them .
- Analyzing and reporting on the ROI of trade show participation , and recommend improvements for future events.
- Managing and tracking the event program budget, spend, procurement process, and invoicing .
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and agencies to coordinate exhibit design and fabrication, and creation of event graphics and promotional materials.
- Help develop innovative ways to execute brand activations with retailer partners
- Traveling as needed for on-the-ground event management .
- Assisting sales team during events by participating in sales conversations, lead generation, and networking activities .
- Partnering with other Walmart business units for mutually beneficial event impact.
- Effectively communicating across the team to share plans, updates, and results.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and competitor activities to ensure Walmart GoLocal remains competitive in the market.
Basic requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- You are creative, innovative, an d have the ability to think outside the box .
- Successful track record of developing and managing event marketing strategies (in a B2B setting preferred, bonus if you also have experience with B2C event marketing) .
- Strong project management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel frequently – up to 40-50 percent of your time will be spent traveling to various events during peak event seasons (Jan, Mar , Aug, Sep ) .
- Experience working with SMB and E nterprise sales teams with a strong understanding of how event marketing supports sales KPIs .
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform decision-making.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Able to thrive in environments with a certain amount of ambiguity and that evolve rapidly in response to a changing external environment .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver effective messaging.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & SharePoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of degree.

- Ex perience developing and executing successful lead generation campaigns
- Ex perience negotiating and executing contracts with suppliers, vendors, and agencies
- Ex perience negotiating and executing event contracts and sponsorship s
- H ighly skilled at tracking event budgets, managing procurement processes, and invoicing
- Skilled in Salesforce or other CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solutions
- Experience in sales, in-person client relations, or similar skills strongly preferred
- Experience in retail, supply chain or last-mile delivery an added plus
- Experience in media relations or PR an added plus
- Experience in channel sales or familiarity with channel partnership strategies an added plus
- Experience with DAM (digital asset management) platforms, such as Brandfolder , an added plus

The annual salary range for this position is $97,500 to $162,500 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) • Sales Volume Category (SVC) (based on facility sales volume) • Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges) • Academy Premium Pay (for certain roles in stores with Academies)
