Primary Purpose:
The Executive Director of Human Resource will be responsible for the overall management of the district’s human resource activities and services. Other essential responsibilities shall include providing leadership and management oversight of State/Federal Programs, Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), T-TESS/T-PESS, Counseling Services, Health Services, Technology, and Elementary School Improvement. The Executive Director of Human Resources will have decision-making abilities at the elementary campuses to address day-to-day academic and operational school issues and will be responsible for ensuring the district’s mission and goals are achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification
Master’s degree in education administration
Mid-Management/Principal Certificate (required)
Superintendent Certification or Currently Working Towards Certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of selection, training, and supervision of personnel
Knowledge of wage and salary, benefits, and performance appraisal administration
Knowledge of general and education employment law and hearing procedures
Experience and knowledge in creating and implementing targeted improvement plans
Experience and knowledge of the Texas Effective Schools Framework
Experience and knowledge of Texas Instructional Leadership Program
Experience and knowledge of school State and Federal Programs
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and do word processing
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Excellent public relations, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, the school board, or other organizations
Experience:
Campus principal or assistant principal experience required. Administrative experience in human resources preferred.
