Wage: Starting at $23/hr DOE w/ potential for overtime

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently within its designed parameters.
  • Direct and coordinate operation, preventative maintenance, repairs, and malfunctions of crushing plant, consulting with Production Superintendent as needed.
  • Direct workers engaged in crushing operations.
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Dismantles and reassembles equipment using hoists, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Weld broken part and structural member using cutting torch and welding equipment.
  • Demonstrate skills in basic fabrication.
  • Order and maintain inventory of plant parts.
  • Perform general cleaning of work area and maintenance areas.
  • Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate problems, improve product quality and assure the operational status of company plants does not affect the production of material for customers.
  • Assist other departments with maintenance, operations, and/or other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

  • Preference to mechanical skills
  • Previous crushing and/or maintenance experience preferred
  • Experience coaching or leading others a plus.
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, equipment, mechanic’s hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting equipment, lubricating tools, hoists, cranes, service trucks, and electrical testing highly preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment highly preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
