What Your Job Will Be Like
Sandia’s Executive HR Services is currently seeking a highly experienced Human Resources Specialist to join their team that provides personalized support to the executive workforce including the Lab Director, Deputy Lab Directors, Associate Lab Directors, Executive Directors, Directors, and Fellows.
In this role, you will lead, facilitate, and manage various actions in the employment cycle for Sandia’s executive leaders such as recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance, succession planning, and other employment activities. In addition, you will lead, implement, and advise on various HR projects, processes, and provide personalized HR services in areas such as offsite extended duty assignments.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
- Lead and/or support a cross-functional team to recruit, hire, and onboard new executive leaders
- Develop solutions, advise, and partner on all HR processes and requirements for executives and other key partners
- Provide one-on-one, personalized HR services and support to executive leaders and other key partners
- Connect & collaborate with subject matter experts to recommend innovative approaches, processes, and procedures to continually improve efficiency and services performed
- Lead significant programs and projects with broad scope, ensuring an integrated systems approach
- Create and implement strategic human resources solutions that support mission objectives and partner closely with executive and HR leaders
- Conduct research on specific topics and provide proposals and advice on options and directions
- Assess and evaluate organizational performance to demonstrate impact on mission results
- Provide subject matter expertise and leadership of other staff members
This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Salary Range
$101,400 – $172,300
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a relevant field, plus 12 years related experience; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
- The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire
- A Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a relevant field
- Extensive experience working with executive leaders and executive teams, and providing high quality customer service
- Proven relationship management skills and experience establishing rapport, trust, and confidence with key partners and customers
- Deep knowledge of human resources theories, principles, practices, processes, systems, and procedures, and an understanding of HR as an interrelated system of functional operations
- A demonstrable ability to address high-priority human resources issues and to strategically advise and influence customers
- Experience in Talent Acquisition or a closely related area
- An excellent understanding of and experience with continuous improvement concepts
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Experience working independently on multiple assignments or engagements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong quantitative, analytic, problem-solving, and project management skills
About Our Team
Executive HR Services is responsible for leading and closely partnering with various HR functional areas, Human Resource Business Partners, and Sandia leaders to manage entire employment cycles and provide customized HR services and support for the executive workforce. We are also responsible for simplifying and improving the consistency in HR related processes and provide customized support in ways that protect the time of our executive workforce, as well as equip them with the resources needed to effectively lead Sandia in meeting the needs of the mission.
