This position is located in Washington, D.C.
The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering’s McCrary Institute is seeking candidates for an Executive Producer. This position will oversee and lead all aspects of the production process from conceptualization to final execution for the McCrary Institute. This position will be responsible for overseeing and driving our diverse range of video and audio productions, as well as being responsible for the pre-productions, production, and post-production of the resulting content.

Essential Functions
- Work with vendors to facilitate and streamline production process to ensure production goals are met. Work collaboratively with various colleagues; including, but not limited to internal and external stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Create run-of-show and scripts and work with the Institute Director to select topics, guests, and themes for the production.
- Mark moments in production to be selected for distribution across all digital channels.
- Assist with developing and implementing standard operating procedures. Oversee editing of raw footage and ensure professional finish to all production.
- Leads the team in set design creation and maintenance to ensure an appropriate and engaging environment for each production. Supports the creative production process, including set design, lighting, blocking, graphics, music, and site surveys.

- Identify further product opportunities to be distributed by the Institute to extend the reach and impact of the Institute’s work.
- Manage the video and photography production of all events hosted by the Institute, ensuring they are captured professional and effectively.
- Prepare all video and audio content for distributions through digital channels, ensuring content is optimized for each platform.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Communications, RTVF (Radio, Television, Film), Broadcast Journalism, Media Studies, or related field.
- 10 years of experience producing network quality reports, with shooting and editing on Avid, Final Cut, or Adobe.
- Experience in managing media projects to include producing, directing, and scheduling.
- Experience contributing text and video content to digital publication and social media.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated writing skills with careful attention to detail. Excellent organizational, team work, project planning and time management skills. Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks.
