Exhibit Developer Job Description

Wage: $18-22

Shift: Full time, M-F 8:30-5pm, closed Sundays.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing narrative content for exhibit projects.
  • Develop text copy for exhibit graphics.
  • Participate in and contribute to the exhibit design and development process with other members of the exhibit team.
  • Thoughtfully promote a love of inquiry and discovery by creating safe, inclusive, and fun opportunities for transformative experiences through high quality, intentional craftsmanship and intelligent, human centered, universal design.
  • Follow all safety protocols
  • Exemplify and uphold Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values and Policies

Requirements:

  • Possess an understanding and have experience with universal/human-centered design or similar methods of developing immersive content for public engagement in a museum or informal learning environment.
  • Ability to recognize core concepts during exhibit development and incorporate those concepts into engaging narrative threads that encourage exploration and inquiry.
  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly in group and individual discussions both verbally and written.
  • Ability to produce exhibit graphic text that is efficient and effective.
  • Proficiency in producing well-crafted projects.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as a critical team member.
  • Open to direction and feedback in collaborative environment.
  • Work well with people and have good communication skills.
  • Physical abilities may inculde: lifiting 20 lbs, manipulating small objections, work at a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time, etc.
  • Pass a background check.
