Exhibit Fabricator/Designer
Pay Rate – $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Full-Time – Medical, Dental, Life, LTD, PTO, 9 company Holiday’s, 401K after 1 year of work.
As a member of the team, you will play an important role in creating exhibits at each of the five venues at Thanksgiving Point and will also have the chance to create cool things, like oversized games and backdrops, for big events such as Tulip Festival, Luminaria, and Dino Days.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with the Director of Exhibits, MONC Senior Director, Exhibit Ship Manager, and others from the exhibit and guest experience teams to design and fabricate exhibit components for the exhibits located at MONC
- Utilize fabrication and shop skills while building our exhibits
- Follow all safety protocols and standards
- Participate in regular trainings and on-the-job skill development
- Be involved in exhibit development and projects
- Thoughtfully promote a love of inquiry and discovery by creating safe, inclusive, and fun opportunities for transformative experiences through high quality, intentional craftsmanship and intelligent, human centered, universal design
- Collaborate with other departments
- Basic computer skills
- Physical mobility including lifting up to 40lbs, bending, standing, pushing and manipulate small objects, machinery and tools
- Other duties as assigned by Exhibit Production Manager
- Adhere to and uphold Thanksgiving Point’s mission, values, and protocols
