Expense Specialist – Parametric

Parametric seeks an experienced and proven professional to join the Business Administration Team. The Expense Management Specialist will report directly to the Expense Manager. The Expense Management Specialist will work closely with all levels of field management to ensure expense activity has been appropriately entered, recorded, reviewed, and approved using various internal systems. The Expense Management Specialist will assist various teams with entering in expense and travel related requests, and reconciling expenses for approval process. The Expense Management Specialist will interact with different departments to resolve issues encountered during the expense review and approval process. Specialists are responsible for understanding Firm policies and procedures to allow them to review expense activity accurately and efficiently. They will also need to be able to interact with field and internal teams effectively.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide world-class customer service to both field facing and internal counterparts in all interactions
  • Ensure all expense requests including but not limited to; invoices, donation request, charity and sponsorships, are handled in a timely and accurate manner; if there are any issues, resolve / escalate on a case-by-case basis.
  • Work as a liaison for cross-functional teams demonstrating the ability to multitask.
  • Assist departments with managing their departmental budgets and spends for the year.
  • Assist with department and corporate credit card reconciliation on a monthly basis.
  • Confirm that all expenses have adequate pre-approval prior to expensing and obtaining budget approvals.
  • Research and resolve problems and deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Apply Firm policies and procedures on expense review and approval activity.
  • Proactively participate in available training and education programs to remain current on policies, procedures and risk awareness.
  • Assist with providing training on standard company processes.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on ways to improve processes that are currently in place.
  • Apply critical thinking when making decisions on items to evaluate risk and client experience.
  • Assist with travel request within the Firms policy.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Has worked with or knowledge ERP/ CRM
  • Has 1 year of accounting background, no CPA required
  • High School diploma
  • Ability to work well with a variety of people at all levels of an organization and build trusted relationships with colleagues in other locations
  • Strong communication, organizational and time-management skills; ability to operate in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail
  • Results-oriented with a strong bias to action

Salary range for the position: $60,000 – $90,000. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
