Grant Thornton is seeking an Experience Assurance Tester Senior Associate to join our team. Approved office locations included below.

The Solution Development Team (SDT) Experience Assurance Tester (EAT) ensures solutions developed by the SDT provide the desired user interface and process experience. More than testing functionality, the EAT must test the overall user experience. They work closely with business stakeholders and people experience owners to align the end solution with their vision for how the user will experience and interact with the solution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the solution development team to understand the business requirements, user stories, and design specifications.
  • Develop test cases, test plans, and test scripts to validate the user interface experience.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and acceptance testing on user interfaces.
  • Identify and document user interface defects and issues, and work with the development team to resolve them.
  • Monitor testing progress, report status, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance testing practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in software testing, preferably in a user interface experience testing role.
  • Strong understanding of user interface design principles and guidelines.
  • Ability to develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts from design specifications and business process requirements.
  • Experience with test management tools; knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques is a plus.
  • Experience with graphic design, branding, and/or visual identity development is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps preferred.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards for user interfaces preferred.
  • Ability to travel on short notice and work additional hours as necessary.
  • Travel percentage: 5%

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Denver, CO office only is between $82,100 and $136,900 per year.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Melville, NY, Bellevue, WA, Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA, and New York City(Manhattan) offices only is between $88,700 and $147,900 per year.

The base salary range for this position in the firm’s San Francisco, CA and San Jose, CA offices only is between $94,400 and $157,400 per year.
