The Boeing Missile Defense National Team is seeking an Experienced Enterprise Services Software Engineer to support the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) team in Colorado Springs, CO.

As a member of the Mission Applications Enterprise Services Product Team of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), this position will participate in software design and peer reviews, develop test specifications and infrastructure, execute manual and automated test and perform analysis of C2BMC implementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations (e.g., Internal Messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, failover processing). Responsibilities also include the coordination of lab resources, test results and verification status with the C2BMC program and customers.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Represent test perspectives to C2BMC systems engineers and architects, software designers, other testers and test support personnel, the Government customer, and personnel in other MDA programs
  • Use an Agile development process
  • Use automated testing for requirement verification and performance assessment
  • Perform requirement and verification analysis
  • Conduct post-processing and analysis of collected data
  • Development of action plans based upon analysis of data
  • Documenting software deficiency reports
  • Presenting analysis results and plans of action orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document)

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Colorado Springs, CO)

This position requires candidate acceptance by industry partner resource control board.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
  • 3+ years of experience conducting verification, test, and/or data analysis
  • 3+ years of experience in test and evaluation engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Qualifications) :

  • Experience in a DevSecOps environment is extremely desirable, as is Security+ certification
  • Strong verbal/written communications skills enabling him/her to work effectively in a small technical team environment
  • Ability to dive into problems with assistance from other test engineers and software developers
  • Use of Department of Defense methodologies is highly preferred
  • Experience with an Agile development process
  • Experience with automated testing for requirement verification and performance assessment
  • Requirement and verification analysis, conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data, development of action plans based upon analysis of data, and documenting software deficiency reports experience is strong desired
  • Prior experience presenting analysis results and plans of action orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report document)

Typical Education/Experience :

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation :

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Travel :

Occasional Travel between Colorado Springs facilities/sites is expected.

Infrequent travel to Huntsville, AL, may be required.

Summary pay range: $104,550 – $141,450
