The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Engineering Technical Specialist to join the F-15 Mission Systems team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
The F-15 Mission Systems Software Team is seeking a Technical Specialist to support the development of software solutions for the F-15 Mission Computer. The successful candidate will work with the F-15 Mission Systems Software team to develop and deliver a number of products in support of program execution. These products and tasks include: the generation and further development of weekly metrics to be used for the management of program execution, the facilitation and leadership of a process improvement team to continuously improve and document the teams processes in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) paradigm, the support and documentation of security protocols in a closed area, leadership and responsibility for tracking hiring activities and the team seating chart, and various administrative responsibilities. The candidate will also Interface with management, engineers, and team members, to provide schedule and project status to ensure that requirements are fulfilled on schedule. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and will be assertive and self-motivated.
The Mission Systems Software Team develops real-time embedded Operational Flight Program (OFP) software that resides in the heart of the F-15 Weapon System, the Mission Computer. The Mission Systems Software team is responsible for the design, code implementation, and the various levels of testing of the OFP software as well as supporting the development of the system and subsystem requirements. This position supports all development activities, as appropriate.
Position Responsibilities:
- Generation and refinement of software metrics
- Run metric scripts to collect data from Eagle and All network every Monday
- Ensure data integrity
- Support execution of Software Quality Management Plan
- Facilitation and leadership in team process improvement initiatives (Software Community of Practice CoP)
- Assist in cleaning up Software Technical debt
- Coordinate meeting/agenda – roll up processes to Mission Systems
- Security support including documentation and data transfer agent responsibilities
- Maintenance and collection Laptop physical forms
- Maintenance and collection of Headset forms
- Add users to network drives via Ad Tools
- Review security requirements to process Network account requests
- Security and Fire Protection Website
- Submit tickets using GSEP to Dell once all paperwork is complete
- Utilize ClearCase to update paperwork
- Maintain Distribution Lists for Unclass and Eagle environment
- Generating data to support the CAM’s via the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Confluence maintenance
- Update material for useful resources
- Update Process Improvement/Software CoP meeting minutes
- Staffing and Adaptive Planning maintenance
- Download data from multiple sources – IRE/Adaptive Planning
- Refresh Query workbook after running data through Python scripts
- Attend weekly estimate meetings
- Add new estimates to workbook
- Present/attend monthly staffing meeting
- Hold open office hours for managers to submit data changes
- Support Meetings ex: Software Off-site, Customer FCA/PCA
- Facilities maintenance requests/escorting (Maximo tickets)
- Enter tickets for all things related to facilities for room 2F51
- Escort maintenance team to perform work order
- Supply orders utilizing Ariba
- Facility signage orders (name plates/office plates for new employees)
- Coordinate candidates for F15 Mission Systems Employee recognition (Eagle Excellence)
- Closely coordinate with New Hire Team to participate in on-boarding of new employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Prior experience with Microsoft Office tools such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- 3+ years of experience with data analysis
- Prior experience facilitating meetings with various partners
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Ability to run scripts to generate metrics data, Elastic/Kibana experience
- IRE Reporting
- Risk Opportunity Management experience
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1-year related work experience, 7 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $71,400 – $96,600
