The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Supply Chain Management Analyst – Materials Management and Transportation to join our team in Edwards Air Force Base, CA.
The ideal candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills and good problem-solving skills.
Position Responsibilities:
- Ship and receive (classified and unclassified parts and equipment)
- Issue/Loan out and Credit turn-in of government-controlled equipment
- Ordering MICAP of flight test unique parts
- Coordinating with offsite flight test parts and repairs
- Maintain and organize cannibalization records
- Communicate with item managers on incoming/outgoing parts
- Manage serviceable and unserviceable parts
- Prepare/package support equipment/tools/material and paperwork for shipment to other bases and repair facilities
- Submit/monitor all serialized assets to quality control before issuing out
- Manage excess Government property (PACRSS) (PIEE) inventory and paperwork for shipment
- Communicate, follow up and provide data to item managers on outbound MICAP parts for other Bases
- Coordinate shipments for freight items being sent to other bases and contractor facilities
- Maintain an inventory of warehouse parts and equipment
- Inventory and control of incoming kits
- Assist in Tool Crib and Haz-Mat attendants as needed
- Works with Customers and suppliers by using Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems to support global markets
- Analyzes material requirements to determine appropriate attributes to drive accurate demand through the supply chain
- Establishes order policies
- Creates orders to satisfy demand requirements supporting the supply chain
- Develops and controls inventory plans and integrates company, customer and supplier capabilities to optimize inventory levels, turn rates and unit cost while ensuring accurate requirements and delivery schedules
- Schedules requirements by analyzing available resources and manages shop capacity to support on time delivery
- Applies knowledge of processes associated with regulating/distribution of goods through the entire manufacturing cycle to the delivery of finished products
- Introduces new Supply Change Management tools and techniques by working with complex processes and organizational relationships to improve the supply chain
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain management
- 3+ years of experience using all of the following Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience in inventory management
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 3+ years of experience with materials management and inventory in relation to government and capital property
- Understanding of SOX requirements
- Experience working with multiple partners across the USAF, engineering, supply chain, and supplier management
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:

Summary pay range: $81,600 – $110,400
