The Southern California Global Design Center is currently looking for an Expert Technical Specialist Engineer to join the team in Long Beach, CA.

This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organizations.

This position will focus on establishing the Digital Transformation tools and related processes at the SoCal Global Design Center to enable it to meet organizational goals

Position Responsibilities

  • Leads development, documentation, implementation and consultation of the application of, and compliance with, requirements for the use of engineering tools, processes and standards.
  • Guides training and provides subject matter expertise in the utilization of processes, tools and integration of engineering designs.
  • Ensures regulatory requirements are met. Leads the validation of user access roles and the production of moderately complex tip sheets.
  • Guides configuration management, coordination of changes, assessments of compliance and manages the implementation of product standards across company business units and programs. Represents Company interests on external standards committees and develops, adapts and/or adopts external standards for internal use.
  • Directs the development, maintenance and distribution of engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity.
  • Leads the collection, analysis and validation of engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs.
  • Works under minimal direction.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite in Long Beach, CA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in Product life cycle management or process management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Product Life cycle management experience
  • Microsoft office suite
  • Digital Transformation

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

This position offers relocation based on candidate’s eligibility.

Pay Range: $128,350-$173,650
