I – Job Purpose and Summary:

Process export/import shipping whilst providing a continuous high level of service to both our internal and external customers. Work with colleagues to organize, optimize and enhance the customer experience. Support the Supply Chain function with daily operations.

II – Key Accountabilities:

  1. HSE: Promote a safe work environment at all times through the adherence to all PGPI’s Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures as well as to all relevant California OSHA regulations in order to achieve ZERO workplace incidents and injuries.
  2. Process orders accurately on internal systems, from order receipt through to delivery in line with company processes and agreed timescales.
  3. Take stock on a FIFO basis or agreed with Supply Chain team if not forecast.
  4. Ensure Service Level Agreements with key suppliers and regional distributors are adhered to.
  5. Use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in import/export activity and procedures.
  6. Liaise with internal suppliers and carriers/freight forwarders to ensure timely dispatch of goods to meet customer delivery deadlines and agreed OTIF targets.
  7. Work closely with quality and regulatory teams to implement change in response to complaints or risks.
  8. Liaise with suppliers and freight forwarders to ensure timely dispatch to meet customer delivery deadlines.
  9. Work in partnership with the Operations team.

Requirements

IV – Job Requirements (Required and Preferred):

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Related Experience

  • Relevant professional qualification and/or suitable supply chain experience.
  • Experience of working with Export documentation/incoterms/customs
  • Customs and international VAT experience would be an advantage.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good verbal, written and telephone communication
  • Able to perform in a demanding and customer focused working environment
  • Organized and confident with business administration skills
  • Maintains attention to detail and quality whilst remaining focused on the task.
  • Familiar with modern best practice methodology

  • Experience of working in a multi-country organization with individuals from a variety of cultures.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in IT skills including MS Office applications
  • Detailed understanding of ERP systems (AX) and precision point to be able to optimize reporting

Work Environment

The role is largely office based, with frequent interactions with customer service and the warehouses to ensure orders are reserved timely.
