Position Overview:
The Air Dominance (AD) St. Louis Configuration Management (CM) Engineering Core Team is seeking a senior Configuration Management Engineer to lead F-15 configuration management activities at The Boeing Company in St. Louis, Missouri. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the change control document process (such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Change Documents (CDs), deviations, and others), conduct of program Change Control Boards (CCB), execution of Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), and management of aircraft delivery process. Job attributes include: Customer interface, coordination across all program organizations, and engagement in program planning.

Position Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible serving as the Technical Lead Configuration Manager for the F-15 Platform. Responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the Configuration Management leader for the F-15 Platform.
- Act as the program CM focal with the external USAF F-15 customer and DCMA as well as internally on the F-15 program and in coordination with other AD programs as needed.
- Oversee and lead the compliance verification of process and product baselines of highly integrated complex products.
- Leads the definition and planning of subsystem and system level audits for new and derivative products.
- Leads the implementation and improvement of Configuration Management standards for product hardware and software throughout the product lifecycle.
- Leads and Mentors other F-15 Configuration Managers.
- Process change control documents (such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Change Documents (CDs), deviations, and others).
- Conduct Program and Platform Change Control Boards (CCB).
- Conduct System and Subsystem Functional Configuration Audits and Physical Configuration Audits.
- Manage aircraft delivery documentation.
Job attributes include: Customer interface, coordination across all program organizations, and engagement in program planning.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in St Louis. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (a technical degree is defined as any four year degree in a mathematic, scientific or information technology related field).
- Experience with managing the configuration of a product baseline.
- Experience with managing engineering change.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with contract proposal preparation related to review and coordination of contract configuration management.
- Configuration management experience on military contracts
- Current Secret clearance.
Typical Education & Experience:
Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
Lead (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for senior level: $113,050 – $152,950
Summary pay range for lead level: $141,100 – $190,900
