Position Overview:

The Boeing F/A-18 Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) organization is seeking a Configuration & Data Management (DM) Engineering Position in Berkeley, Missouri. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of contractual data deliverables. This is accomplished through: interpretation, loading, scheduling, coordination, receipt, submittal, handling, and working in accordance with data marking compliance requirements. This role requires effective interaction with external customers and suppliers, engineering teams, and other organizations.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-Level, Senior, Subject Matter Expert Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Documents, implements, provides consultation on the application of, and ensures compliance with, requirements for use of engineering tools, processes and standards.
  • Provides training and assistance in the utilization of processes and tools and supports the integration of engineering designs.
  • Ensures regulatory requirements are met. Identifies and validates user access roles, produces tip sheets and understands system interoperability.
  • Provides configuration management, coordinates changes, performs assessments of compliance and leads the implementation of product standards across company business units and programs.
  • Represents company interests on external standards committees and develops, adapts and/or adopts external standards for internal use.
  • Develops, maintains and distributes engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity.
  • Collects, analyzes and validates engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs.
  • Works under general direction.
  • The position involves the ability to provide proprietary closed room support.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 3+ years of experience with Contract Data Management and/or Supplier Data Management
  • 3+ years of experience with CDRL loading, forecasting, and tracking in CSDT
  • 3+ years of prior work experience with database systems
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 10+ years of prior technical work experience
  • 10+ years of prior work experience with database systems
  • Experience with contracts and documentation
  • Familiarity with intellectual property subject matter

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work

Subject Matter Expert (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for mid-level level: $90,100 – $121,900

Summary pay range for senior level: $113,050 – $152,950

Summary pay range for subject matter expert level: $141,100 – $190,900

To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
