What will you do?
In this role, you will set up and operate a hydraulic press to form sheet metal into various shapes for the assembly of screw conveyor parts within the material handling department.
Key Responsibilities
- Must be able to work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.
- Form metal parts by manually maneuvering them in brake presses
- Program and operate the controller for bend sequence
- Work from process sheets, drawings, or instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks
- Follow the standard operating procedures and quality standards
- Maintain machine and work area in a clean and safe manner
- Inspect parts throughout the process and use powered hand tools when necessary
- Check and inspect operation against predetermined tolerances.
- Work in other departments as assigned
- Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Key Competencies:
- Previous experience with hydraulic presses
- Average math skills, simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English, and complete simple logs and reports in English.
- Prior experience with safety programs and training
- Physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products
- Work scheduled hours and comply with the company’s timekeeping policy and all other company policies
- Work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and good clerical skills
- Consistently stand for the entire shift
- Work with others and be a team player

Wage information:
- Wage Range: $18.17 – $27.65 per hour

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of Martin’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be within the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Martin’s total compensation package for employees. In addition, Martin provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life, and disability insurance, a profit-sharing plan, a 401K trust plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
