Maximus is seeking a Facilities & Data Center Manager to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland.
We are seeking a Facilities/Data Center Manager to provide expertise in managing and optimizing the physical infrastructure and operations of a federal client’s critical data centers and facilities. As a key leader on our team, the Facilities & Data Center Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of mission-critical data center and facility operations.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Lead the management and operation of multiple data centers and facilities,
including physical security, environmental controls, power distribution, and
capacity planning.
• Monitor and log personnel entering the datacenter and ensure they have
proper access and/or proper escort prior to entering the Data Center
• Conduct physical hardware inspections for audio and visual alerts.
• Confirm status of servers, network devices, environmental hardware, or any
other piece of hardware when requested by O&M, Facilities, Security, or
management. (This interaction may include but is not limited to powering
on/off a device using the power button/switch, unplugging/plugging in a
network/power cable, acknowledging or clearing alerts on environmental
devices.)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement efficient
and reliable data center and facility management processes and
procedures.
• Assist in the development and maintenance disaster recovery and business
continuity plans for the data center and facilities.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for
data centers and facilities.
• Implement and enforce strict access controls and physical security
measures to safeguard data center and facility assets. (i.e., Inspection of
entry/exit points in the event of a notification of an alert or suspected false
alarm to ensure no threat or potential breach.)
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of IT equipment, including Dell
Intel-based, HP Intel-based, IBM Intel-based, and others.
• Implement and enforce strict access controls and physical security
measures to safeguard data center and facility assets.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements
(SLAs) related to data center and facility services.
• Monitor and analyze data center and facility performance metrics,
identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
Requirements:
• Due to federal requirements, only US Citizens can be considered.
Candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance.
• Must be based around Colorado Springs, CO.
• This individual will be responsible for the daily operation of mission critical
systems on a 24x7x365 workday basis. On call rotation will be required.
• 7+ years of experience as a Facilities & Data Center Manager or
related field.
• Experience in any or all of the following: HP, IBM, Dell, MS, Windows, Avaya
Salary Information: $60,000 – $140,000

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate’s education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
