Description
Position Purpose:
Under the guidance of the Facilities Supervisor, the Facilities Lead is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and expansion of all aspects of the facilitys buildings and equipment. Oversees the personnel, policies, and procedures which have been implemented to ensure a properly maintained facility. Provides leadership, supervision, and instruction to the Facilities team including Maintenance Technicians at Levels I, II, and III. Helps implement the repair projects and routine maintenance and helps maintain the Max Panda requests.
Essential Duties:
- Attend morning meetings along with the Maintenance Technicians discussing daily business, the progress of projects, and technicians’ comments/concerns.
- Assist with monitoring room temperatures by checking thermostats and adjusting as needed.
- Review and monitor employee time cards
- Check the Status of Work Orders using MAX PANDA software on the computer while noting new work orders, write-ups, the status of orders pending, orders cleared, etc. taking appropriate action on each order.
- Work alongside Maintenance Technicians and inspect their work projects being performed. When not able to be on-site make radio or phone contact.
- Advise the Facilities Supervisor of the need to purchase or order necessary supplies, materials, equipment, etc. needed to complete work projects.
- Respond to unscheduled and unexpected requests, events, and situations; prioritize, reschedule, and reassign as needed, remaining flexible and accommodating to meet all ministry needs.
- Work nights, weekends, holidays, and extra hours as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must have professional/commercial experience in several of the following skill sets: carpentry, welding, landscaping, masonry, locksmith, HVAC, plumbing, framing/drywall finishing, interior/exterior painting, electrical, sheet metal/fabrication, carpet installation, roofing/trusses, operate pneumatic tools/hand tools/smaller heavy equipment
- Proficient in Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet or other project management software)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Follows directions well
- Self-starter and able to work independently
- Leads people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, integrity, and professionalism.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on feet for long periods.
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign the Statement of Faith.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- College, vocational, apprenticeship, or military, training in two or more of the professional skill sets listed above.
- Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
- Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
- Experience leading/counseling/mentoring and training others.
- Two or more years of professional/commercial experience in two or more of the skill sets listed above.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
