Job Description
Job Title: Facilities Operations Specialist
Department: Instruction
Reports To: Director of Facilities and Logistics
Compensation: $45,000-$55,000
TRS Classification: Non-Classified
Summary:
The Facilities Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring periodic maintenance and repairs on equipment within a facility. As a specialist, the facility must be in a clean and operational state at all times. The Specialist may also oversee renovation or remodeling. Will also oversee the maintenance of indoor and outdoor spaces. The Specialist must ensure an adequate level of supplies is kept at all times, and may work with staff members such as building management and outside service vendors. Frequent driving to various sites across the state will be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Monitor work orders for the facility sites in their region
- On-site and on-call support for the facilities in their region
- Travel to various sites across the state of Oklahoma
- Repair/Installation Assessment
- Completion of Minor Repairs/Installations
- Contractor management
- New project consultation
- General maintenance duty
- On-site facility service scheduling
- Fleet management
- Purchasing and negotiating materials needed
- Walk through facilities to inspect progress on all current projects
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- No supervisory responsibilities
Education and/or Experience
- 1-year minimum verifiable experience in janitorial, construction, and/or property maintenance is required; experience in property management preferred; experience in a school setting preferred.
- Basic knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or common area maintenance required.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office and Google Tools. Must have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the business operations of the school.

- Current driver’s license and valid car insurance

- Must be able to pass a state-mandated background check after a conditional offer of employment is made

The person in this position works at all Epic facilities. Frequent travel to various locations across the state of Oklahoma is required. Many of these facilities will be undergoing remodel or construction. The noise level is usually moderately loud (when students or construction crews are present.)
