What Your Job Will Be Like

The Strategic Planner will be the single point of contact to lead and manage complex operational projects across Physical Operations (such as Facilities, Security, Environmental Safety and Health, IT, etc.) and use their deep expertise across other operational departments to develop infrastructure solutions that ensure success for our national security missions. This position will reside in New Mexico and will be responsible for the NM-based and remote Division 8000 portfolio of customers and assets.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Engage proactively in strategic planning to anticipate infrastructure needs and develop operations plans that support and outline strategies to address them
  • As a “general contractor”, partner to understand each mission enabling function to flow work efficiently throughout the organization
  • Be accountable for service delivery and overall project execution for key initiatives
  • Lead and integrate project teams across several functions and disciplines to respond to complex infrastructure issues
  • Facilitate project development and manage longer-term strategic projects, including scope definition, project plan and schedule development, project monitoring and control, risk management, and integrated change control
  • Be a liaison for data calls such as space/workforce planning, demand planning, and long-term Facilities and Infrastructure plans

Salary Range

$88,600 – $172,300

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or other relevant field, plus five or more years of directly related experience
  • Proven experience with project management
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance

About Our Team

The Partnership and Planning Department supports the mission by establishing long range planning & investment strategies and implementation plans. The team develops and maintains effective strategic customer partnerships and integrates F&I plans into the investment and planning strategies. The team also provides space management, condition, and energy assessments of the facilities and site infrastructure.
