We are currently recruiting for the position of:
Facility Maintenance Manager – Merced, CA
The Manager of Facility Maintenance is responsible for the oversight of the warehouse maintenance and sanitation teams, to ensure that the facility and equipment are maintained at the highest level of operational efficiency and sanitation. This position provides direction and oversight to assigned employees; communicates company policies and regulations, and ensures that they are adhered to; and interacts with all regulatory entities. The Manager of Facility Maintenance provides exceptional customer service and develops positive working relationships with internal and external partners, while supporting various teams and personnel within the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Supervises Maintenance personnel to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is of the highest quality
• Interfaces with all department heads to stay informed of their equipment needs and maintenance requirements; with Risk Management, Construction, and other Corporate departments regarding equipment and facility maintenance
• Maintains an adequate parts inventory, accurate work records and plan workload ensuring proper job priority to meet the needs of operations including the pallet dock and cardboard yard equipment
• Assists in preparation and administration of operating budget
• Recommends new equipment purchases and evaluates replacement needs
• Works with outside sales representatives to ensure awareness of latest equipment, cost trends, and new developments
• Ensures that the facility and all equipment meet OSHA requirements
• Assists in the training of personnel in safety, proper equipment use, and emergency procedures
• Works with garage personnel to ensure that the garage facilities are properly maintained
• Responsible for pallet repair equipment program
• Ensures that personnel are available at all times to immediately respond to fire system emergencies, drinking water treatment issues or waste water equipment failure
• Supervises Sanitation personnel to ensure that company and government sanitation and pest control guidelines and regulations are consistently met within the company facilities and property
• Ensures all drinking water testing and reporting, waste water testing and reporting, storm water inspections and reporting, and all other in-house and external inspections and reporting are done correctly and on time
• Performs other duties as assigned

Hiring pay range: $64,007.00 – 92,065.00
Requirements:
• Knowledge of warehouse practices and systems
• Strong overall knowledge of maintenance, to include refrigeration, electrical, and material handling equipment
• Strong knowledge of OSHA fire and safety regulations, and governmental rules and regulations pertaining to sanitation and pest control
• Strong familiarity with typical warehouse conditions and equipment
• Supervisory skills – training, coaching, working with and through others to achieve results
• Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word), EDP applications knowledge, and use of general office equipment
• Requires strong communication (written and verbal) skills
• Must be highly functional in a team environment and have strong cooperation and team building attributes
• Should demonstrate an eagerness to learn and take on new tasks and challenges
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education: Four year college or vocational school (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience).
Experience: Minimum three years of relevant experience in similar role.
Other: Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical: Warehouse environment: ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, use stairs, reach, pull and lift objects.
