Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with area owner/ stakeholder as required per work scope.
- Assist with tasks to include, but not limited to repairing appliances, disposals, pumps, heating systems, interior lighting, soldering and pipe fitting, furniture and window treatment repair, installation and replacement, door hardware/ lock installation, general maintenance and repairs.
- Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.
- Ensures compliance and safe work practices, including adherence to current SOP’s.
- Assist with troubleshooting maintenance issues and for preventive maintenance work.
- Assist with managing and documenting all work performed in a computerized maintenance work order system and handheld technologies.
- Provides customer service to administrative offices, dining and café areas and grounds.
- Respond to customer service requests as assigned.
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, preventative maintenance, etc.
- Assist with performing maintenance duties such as furniture moves, office painting and/or patch and paint, cleaning, light construction and/or exterior cleanup.
- Work may be dispatched by a Facilities Maintenance Dispatcher and or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Employs approved methods to make decisions aligned with company goals and objectives.
- Assist with operating site equipment as needed, using hand and power tools as necessary
- Assist the interfacing with external vendors/suppliers for building/equipment repairs with the
- ability to challenge ideas and processes to ensure alignment with Dexcom process and procedures.
- Assist with performing other activities such as audio-visual (AV) set up for meetings or conferences and support AV project installations.
- Plans daily tasks, prioritizes and schedules maintenance activities.
- Promptly reports accidents on the job, preparing and submitting accident reports.
- Adheres to policies, procedures and practices on safety and operation instructions. Complies with rules and regulations applicable to building codes.
- Maintains documentation such as diagrams, SDS, training, etc.
- Creates and maintains electronic and paper files of all preventative and corrective maintenance performed.
- Provides support to vendors/contractors such as security force and janitorial staff.
- Assists in hosting corporate visitors/dignitaries and assist with setup of meetings and site readiness.
- Maintain and represent a high degree of professionalism during interaction with customers, vendors, and company personnel. Strictly adheres to maintenance of confidential information.
- This position assumes and performs other duties as may be assigned.
- Ability to use technology such as: smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc.
- Ability to occasionally work extended hours (evenings/weekends) if requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrates working knowledge with MS Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record with period checks
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience
Experience and Education
- Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience and a High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.
Non-Exempt Salary Details:
The annualized base salary range for this role is $41,900 to $69,900. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.
Language Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Examples of English language proficiency may include (but are not limited to): ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to verbally communicate with leadership, employees, and auditors; ability to comprehend spoken language.
Physical Demands:
Employees in this position may be required to perform the following physical activities: standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time; frequent use of the hands, fingers, wrist, and greater arm to handle small materials, tools, boxes, and trays; lifting and carrying objects up to 50Ibs; occasional overhead reaches and lifts; occasional lifts and reaches below the knee; occasional pushing and pulling of materials and objects with moderate forces; occasional crouching/kneeling, twisting, and squatting movements.
Work Environment:
Employees may be exposed to the following environmental conditions while performing this job: work near moving parts, work with chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, exposure to intense light and/or intermittent light, fast-paced work, and elevated noise levels.
