Job Purpose and Impact

The Factory of the Future Associate Product Manager, will be part of Cargill Protein North America’s Factory of the Future (FoF) program and responsible for the ownership of digital and analytics (D&A) products or platforms for the organization. The FoF Associate Product Manager will lead the development for digital and analytics solutions that focus on creating value in our operations through digitizing key processes, delivering predictive or automated controls or providing real-time or predictive insights to operators in our facilities.

In this role, you will own the business strategy behind a digital & analytics product, establish a vision for the product and discover problems, opportunities and solutions. You will coordinate work done by many other functions and are ultimately responsible for the business success of the product. You will partner with cross functional teams, analyze markets and define objectives and key results.

Key Accountabilities

  • Own product strategy and solution, from discovery to delivery (develop and implementation of minimum viable product adn product increments) and identify business value and end user outcomes including key performance indicators and financial return on investment.
  • Maintain prioritization and refinement of the product backlog, deciding what to build and when, partnering with agile teams to estimate features, define requirements and collaborate on a product roadmap based on the team’s capacity.
  • Serve as product functional owner bringing new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs, preparing return on investment analyses and addressing product team questions.
  • Analyze operations, market and competitive conditions to strike a clear path towards the business value of the product that ensures effective, efficient and competitive plant organization and operations footprint, enabling the short- and long-term performance objectives of the business.
  • Analyze and addresses the critical product risks including value, usability, feasibility and business viability.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data for thorough analysis to identify what to build or optimize.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Product management, project management or product development experience
  • Experience facilitating teams and breaking down business requirements into deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile certification
  • Product or project management certification
  • Experience leading change and communication with a large and diverse group of stakeholders
  • Clear understanding of agile values, frameworks and metrics

Position Information

The expected salary for this position is $120,000 to $135,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
