The Family Support Supervisor will provide leadership for staff in the implementation of the Head Start Performance Standards, Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and Chicago Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) policies as they relate to early childhood development & health services, and family & community partnerships. The Family Support Supervisor will also collaborate and network with service providers, maintain community linkages and develop service agreements. In addition, the Family Support Supervisor will oversee work tasks and activities of Family Support Services (FSS) staff to ensure full delivery of integrated services to children and families and provide training, support and guidance to FSS staff to ensure high quality and timely services are provided to parents in compliance with Head Start Performance standards. This position reports to the Manager of Parent and Family Services.
Candidate qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Family Services, Family Studies, Human Services, Social Services, counseling or related field required.
- Gateways Level 5 Family Specialist Credential required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience providing family support services required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- The ability to communicate in both English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Experience dealing with families in crisis required

Job details:
- Compensation:Range starts at $54,500; offers are commensurate with experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional financial compensation.

- Location:Marletta Darnall Schaumburg Child & Family Center,725 East Schaumburg Rd. & Community Child Care Center of Palatine,(721 South Quentin Road).
- Schedule: Full-time, salaried; general business hours with some flexibility for special projects & events, including some evenings and weekends as needed.
- Student Loan Forgiveness: Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
