Description

The Family Systems Program Manager assists the Senior Program Manager in providing linkage of CFBHN Children and Family Department Programs focused on family system of care.

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform the day-to-day assigned Family System program management activities to assist in creating an integrated family system of care and ensure contractual requirements are being met.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all family system of care program areas as evidenced by regular and ongoing communication with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Implementation, oversight, and management of the Mental Health Multidisciplinary teams (MHMDT) and Mental Health Evidenced Based Practice teams (MHEBP).
  • Participates on Youth At Risk (YAR) Staffings in Suncoast Region and Circuit 10 as assigned to prevent children from entering child welfare and deeper end systems of care.
  • Assists Senior Program Manager on Children’s System of Care Improvement ideas through further development of Youth At Risk Staffing Model for all five circuits.
  • Represent CFBHN at community stakeholder, funder and provider meetings as assigned; chairing committee meetings as assigned
    • Coordinate, attend, and facilitate (if needed) community stakeholders, funder, and provider meetings pertinent to the Family System of Care.
    • Have working knowledge of group and forum dynamics when representing CFBHN at community stakeholder, funder and provider meetings.
  • Assure programmatic outcomes are being met; create and disseminate required programmatic reports to funders, providers and CFBHN management related to Family Systems.
    • Work collaboratively with internal CFBHN departments; IT, Contracts, QI to report Family Systems required data and refine data as necessary, monthly.
    • Ensure adherence to the responsibilities of the Managing Entity in the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) Teams Guidance Document.
    • Understand deliverables and provide feedback on how different CFBHN Family System of Care programs can improve or maintain performance.
    • Have working knowledge of all program reports required per position requirements.
    • Utilize tracking mechanisms to insure reporting requirements are met for program area, ongoing.
  • Provide programmatic technical assistance and training, both internal and external.
  • Be available to provide overview, technical assistance, and training for the Family System of Care program area, as assigned.
  • Assist in development of a detailed description of family systems of care community resources and update as necessary.
  • Provide technical assistance training to CFBHN staff, as requested and to sub-contracted providers as deemed necessary or as required related to Family Systems.
  • CFBHN liaison between ME, DCF, CBC, stakeholders, and contracted providers focused on Family Systems
  • Work collaboratively with family system of care stakeholders in all five circuits to support provision of wraparound and related best practices
  • Able to develop, run, and analyze reports/trends regarding programs, special projects and other areas assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience

  • Master’s degree in a related field,
  • Licensed Required (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT)
  • Utilization Management Experience preferred
  • Minimum of five years of behavioral health program management experience.
  • Experience in analyzing and trending data
  • Previous experience managing Children’s Mental Health and Family programs a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Position Specific

  • In-depth understanding of Florida public mental health/substance abuse system, including treatment protocols and system of care principles and values, to assure contractual compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of funder contractual requirements
  • Solid working relationship with funders, providers and community stakeholders.

General

  • Above-average oral communication and business writing skills
  • Ability to represent CFBHN well at funder, provider and community venues
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office suite as applicable to the position
  • Ability to travel as required by the position
