Job Description

The Omni Richmond Hotel is looking for an engaging, friendly, detail-orientated Food & Beverage Supervisor to join it’s amazing team. During the evening hours of the Westham Tavern & Porch, this individual will provide extraordinary service while creating memorable experiences to our guests and supporting the F&B team. As the F&B Supervisor, this individual will have an opportunity to build on the skills and knowledge needed to advance in the Food & Beverage Industry.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities

As a leader of the F&B team, your responsibilities include:

  • Providing next-level service to guests.
  • Providing guest service training and departmental orientation for new team members; Working with F&B managers to provide on-going training and development for all employees.
  • Ensuring that the restaurant is set up and ready for service.
  • Overseeing side work responsibilities, as well as opening and closing duties; Reviewing the work activities of team members to ensure that all is being performed within the standards established by management
  • Coordinating with other F&B Supervisors and F&B Managers on work schedules, purchasing, and inventory control.
  • Directing team members in sanitation and sanitary food handling.
  • Creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for team members; Recognizing team members by using Omni Service Cards
  • Assisting F&B Managers in reviewing activities in all reporting areas in order to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions and other matters which influence quality guest service and profitability.
  • Assisting F&B team and F&B Managers with effectively resolving problems and addressing concerns with guests, vendors, and fellow team members
  • Working with the Culinary team to ensure the food prepared meeting the quality and expectations of guests, as well as management

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Working knowledge of food sanitation and food handling; ServSafe certified preferred
  • Understanding of VA ABC laws and regulations; TIPS certified preferred
  • The ability to lead a team and willingness to develop team members
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, nights, holidays, and periods of high demand
  • Dependability and reliability with above par attendance
  • Previous F&B experience required; Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent customer-service and communication skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations; Efficient problem-solving skills
  • Must be 18 years or older
