Job Description:
The School of Art + Art History in the College of the Arts seeks a student assistant to be a computer lab monitor and assist in the photography dark room. The successful candidate will be attentive to lab users, has experience with providing customer service, and able to work 10 hours a week.

Responsibilities: Duties include, but not limited to:
- Oversee and attend to computer and photo lab and lab users for proper use of equipment.
- Maintain inventory of photography equipment on lend to students, including assessing the condition of returned equipment.
- Provide technical assistance with printing or simple computer problems. For more advanced problems, the monitor may request assistance from the Teaching Lab Specialist.
- Instruct and enforce computer lab and area rules and procedures to students.
- Maintain cleanliness of computer and photography lab by providing surface cleaning at end of shift.
- Set up and break down chemistry in the photography darkroom . Personal protective equipment available.

Expected Salary:
Hourly Rate: $12/hour
Minimum Requirements:
- Be able to work nights & weekends. Typical shifts available: Weekdays 5pm-10pm and Weekends 12pm-10pm. Some daytime shifts are available.

- Able to work independently, reliably, and timely
- Willing to work with hazardous materials, following training regarding the materials.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Apple computers and Adobe Photoshop preferred.
- Interest or experience with analog or digital photography practice.
- Evidence of success in promoting an environment that advances pluralism, curiosity, viewpoint diversity, open discourse, and the well-being of all.
