Innova Solutions is immediately searching for candidate for a Field Service Technician – Tier 4

Location: Hatfield, Pennsylvania

As a Field Service Technician – Tier 4you will:

Work 100% onsite and travel in and around the Hatfield area. Company vehicle is provided. This is a full-time position – Tuesday-Friday (four 10-hour days), 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Working outside required. Due to the needs of the business, night and weekend work may be required.

This Field Service Technician position is responsible for leadings installations of audio/video equipment, home control, home network, and smart home products.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • Lead a team that performs onsite audio-visual equipment installation. Requires experience with:
  • Rough-In wiring
  • Speaker installations (Floor Standing, Bookshelf, Architectural, etc.)
  • Flat panel installations (Static, Tilting, Articulating on Dry Wall).
  • Front Projection system installations (On-Wall Screen / On-Ceiling Projector)
  • Advanced calibration of audio and video equipment (Ex. Dirac)
  • Advanced networking installations (Enterprise gateways with multiple VLANs, Managed switches, and Controller driven Wireless Access Points).
  • Advanced control system setup and programming (ex. URC TRC or Savant systems).
  • Advanced shade or lighting installations and programming. (ex. Lutron Caseta, RadioRa2 Select, RadioRa2, Radio Ra3, Homeworks QS, and Homeworks QSX).
  • Installation and Programming of IP-based Camera systems
  • Power Management
  • Equipment set up
  • Advanced On-Wall and freestanding equipment rack installations.
  • Perform wire path pulls and wire terminations of the following wires
  • Indoor and Outdoor Speaker Cable / HDMI / Category Wire (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) / RG6 (F connector, RCA, BNC) / Fiber Optic cable / Lighting and Shade power or control wiring.

  • Position requires a professional can-do attitude, team driven and a client focused customer service attitude.
  • Can be counted on to lead an installation team for complex installations.
  • A self-starter
  • Maintains highest quality standards for themselves, department, and company.
  • Works with Sales staff with system design and implementation.
  • Coordinate the creation and integration of AV control system programs
  • Complete training programs and gain certifications for manufacturers, industry associations and company as required
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to ensure modifications are tracked and appropriate change orders are generated and executed.
  • Capable of leading technical client system training for client stakeholders and Service team.
  • Execute project plans within the time constraints specified while adhering to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Sales to understand the intended functionality and capability of the system as designed.
  • Trains all levels of installation staff.
  • Plans and executes complex team driven installations.
  • Ability to direct and assign tasks and following up on completion and accuracy of tasks.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload with above outstanding time management skills.
  • Ability to listen, communicate, and manage expectations.
  • Accurately recording work performed and onsite job notes for internal record keeping.
  • An understanding of all phases of residential installation work (Rough in, Trim, Final, and Service)
  • Ability to perform retrofit wiring
  • Ability to troubleshoot advanced systems including programming and networks.
  • Working knowledge of residential network installations, including wired and wireless solutions.
  • Furthers professional knowledge with hands-on classes or online trainings.
  • Knowledge of mobile operating systems including Apple iOS and Android.
  • Knowledge of PC operating systems and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.

Physical requirements:

  • The duties of this position require the ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and sit/stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $70,000 – $80,000/year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
