More about our Transportation Services department:
UW Transportation Services is a department within Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M) on the UW-Madison campus. We serve a variety of customers with a diverse set of parking and transportation needs. Transportation Services is responsible for the coordination and administration of all transportation-related services for the UW campus community. Primary functions include the sale/management of parking permits, special event coordination, maintenance and enforcement, construction coordination, lot and booth operations, citation payments and appeals, information technology, financial, transportation planning, and development of multimodal options.

More about the Parking Enforcement Officer (Field Services Officer Position)
This position is held within the UW-Madison’s Transportation Department. The main duties of this position will be monitoring parking areas, issuing citations for parking violations, collecting data on campus usage and reporting maintenance and safety concerns found on campus.
Responsibilities: Monitors parking areas, issuing citations for parking violations. Collects data on campus parking usage and reports maintenance and safety concerns found on campus.

  • 35% Investigates parking eligibility, and compliance with policy
  • 15% Enforces parking violations across property
  • 15% Accurately records vehicle description, location, and parking violation issue parking citations
  • 15% Enters parking usage data for multiple stall types in campus parking facilities
  • 5% Provides directions and education about parking with customers
  • 5% Maintains mechanical functions of parking meters and gate equipment
  • 5% Ensures facilities are clear of snow and debris in access areas.
  • 5% Utilizes basic equipment to repair and maintain basic machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation.

Qualifications:

-1 year of parking enforcement or relevant experience
License/Certification:
Preferred
Drivers License – Valid and Meets UW Risk Management Standards
Work Schedule:
The expected work schedule is on site at campus, Monday to Friday from 7:30AM to 4:00PM.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Minimum $19.50 HOURLY
Depending on Qualifications
The minimum hourly rate for this position is $19.50, but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
