Ardurra is seeking a part-time Flow Monitoring Field Technician to join our team. Prefer candidates in the greater LA area. (Riverside or Orange counties)
Primary Function
The Field Technician is an entry-level position and functions as a junior member of the crew and takes direction from the Field Supervisor when the Field Operations Manager is not present. Under direct supervision, the Field Technician is responsible for conducting temporary flow meter installations and permanent and long-term installations. In this position, the employee will receive Confined Space Entry, Traffic Control and Flagger Safety training and certifications along with general orientation to the field.
Primary Duties
- Fieldwork includes but is not limited to:
- Installation of monitors within sewer lines
- Hydraulic calibration
- Collection of data
- Manhole and site inspections
- Conduct diagnostic services and repairs of flow monitoring equipment.
- Maintain shop organization and cleanliness.
- Maintain accurate, legible organized records in accordance with all Company standards.
- Follow instructions from supervisor relating to meter relocations, servicing and on-site technical issues for assigned metering projects.
- Responsible for maintaining all Company vehicles and equipment to ensure safety, mechanical soundness and productive operation.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and Company policies and procedures.
- Travel and work overtime hours as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must work outdoors and have the physical and cognitive ability necessary to do confined space entry and perform rescue operations when necessary.
- Must be able to function in a team environment and take directive.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of flow metering.
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of MS Office and Excel
- Basic knowledge of mathematics and electronics
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Good communication skills; written and oral
- Candidate must have valid driver’s license and acceptable DMV.
- Candidate must receive immunization shots due to working conditions.
Starting Pay Rate: $27/hr
