Associate Corporate Solutions Sales

Business Overview:

The Corporate Solutions Sales team works with corporate and financial sponsor clients to advise them on best practice across global markets products with a focus on the Global Macro GBL. The desk advises clients on risk management solutions that provide for optimal balance sheet, cash flow, earnings and fund related needs. The candidate should have and will develop skills in foreign exchange, interest rate, and other global markets products with the ability to support the origination of and execute transactions in this product set. Working closely in a team environment for collective objectives is essential.

Responsibilities:

The Corporate Solutions Sales team covers corporates and financial sponsors to assist in originating, structuring and executing currency, interest rate hedges, and other macro markets solutions.

  • Work with partners in Corporate & Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, sales & trading and legal/Risk/KYC.
  • Prepare client presentations
  • Price and execute hedge transactions incorporating both market and credit risk
  • Engage with corporate and sponsor clients, particularly on execution matters
  • Work with legal, Risk and KYC to on-board clients for trading
  • Pricing within well-defined products mandate and risk limits
  • Assisting in the building of the Global Markets Franchise by developing key client relationships, both internally and externally
  • Roll will require ultimate familiarity with accounting, regulatory, capital treatment of products as well as liquidity, trade life cycle and downstream systems.
  • Working collaboratively with Sales, Origination and Research teams.
  • Maintaining open communication with team and direct line management to resolve risk and P&L discrepancies and fulfil notification requirement.
  • Write/present daily commentary to internal sales & trading teams along with clients
  • Focusing on trades with the right profitability and risk/reward balance.
  • Monitoring market news and events and evaluate the risk and opportunities for clients and the firm’s positions and strategy.
  • Liaising with BNPP middle-office and back-office on behalf of the sales desk.
  • Working with operational support functions facilitate and monitor the settlement process.
  • Contributing to and facilitating with trading middle office, the confirmation of daily P&L at the close of the day.
  • Attending relevant regulatory and product/skill training and keep up-to-date with market issues.
  • Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework.
  • Understanding and valuing all business and transaction related risks, including market, credit, operational, compliance, legal, regulatory and reputation risks.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Strong quantitative skills: Mathematical proficiency is key
  • Communication skills: Oral and written communication skills are highly valued
  • Ability to prioritize: Essential in a fast-paced work environment with evolving priorities
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy of work is of utmost importance
  • Technical skills: Excel and PowerPoint proficiency important
  • Self-motivation: Ability to work well under high level of autonomy, and being able to get up to speed quickly on new concepts, procedures, and products
  • Works collaboratively with Trading, Sales and Structuring teams.

  • Applicants should be degree educated and highly numerate
  • Advance Excel and SQL skills fundamental, SQL, Python, R languages would be beneficial.

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York (or if the location is in New Jersey we’ll indicate New Jersey) is between $150,000 to $200,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
