Finance Associate Director – Tax
Fitch Group is currently seeking a Finance Associate Director – Tax based out of our New York office.
The Finance team operates under a global management structure with the global department heads. The teams are distinguished in four regions: NA, EMEA, LATAM and APAC.
The candidate will join the North America Finance team, reporting into the Controllership group.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Assist tax audit responses, corporate income tax, sales tax, and IDRs
- Assist in preparation of annual apportionment schedule
- Prepare and file sales and use returns including GST tax, CRT Tax, B&O Tax, and CAT
- Maintenance of tax rates in software
- Attend and participate in audit conference calls
- Be point of contact for corporate tax policy across organization
- Review foreign withholding tax
- Review and respond to tax notices
- Research tax laws and rules to ensure compliance with state laws
- Assist corporate income tax team with year-end schedules
- Prepare tax journals, update reserves, and reconciliations.
What You Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Desire to pursue career in Taxation
- Strong understanding of sales tax compliance, payroll tax, nexus rules
- Strong Excel proficiency
- Experience IRS forms: 1120, 1042, 5471, 1099 etc
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- CPA, MS in Tax
- 3 years post-graduation accounting & tax experience
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Time management and organization
- Ability to explain tax topics in a simple terms

FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay salary range for this role is $90,000 – $110,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
