Who You Are
We seek a skilled and experienced Finance IT Business Solutions Partner to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between the Finance and IT departments, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment between business needs and technological solutions. A deep understanding of finance operations and IT systems, including Coupa, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Concur, is essential. Additionally, the candidate must possess a thorough knowledge of IT Compliance, particularly with a focus on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and a strong working knowledge of governance, risk management, and compliance tools like Fastpath and audit software like AuditBoard.
Responsibilities
- Business-IT Relationship Management:
- Act as the central point of contact for all finance-related IT initiatives, fostering strong working relationships with key stakeholders in both the Finance and IT departments, including CFOs, CIOs, and other executive-level personnel
- Proactively identify opportunities for collaboration between the two departments, fostering a culture of mutual understanding and shared goals. This includes organizing regular cross-departmental workshops and brainstorming sessions
- Conduct regular meetings and workshops to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure that the IT solutions implemented align with the evolving needs of the finance department. Collaborate closely with finance users to understand pain points and provide effective technological solutions
- Advocate for the adoption of best practices and innovative technologies, demonstrating a deep understanding of the financial implications and benefits of IT investments. This involves staying informed about the latest technological trends and advancements in finance-related software and systems
- Provide strategic guidance to senior management on the integration of technology to streamline financial processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve decision-making capabilities. This includes presenting comprehensive business cases and ROI analyses for proposed IT initiatives to gain executive buy-in
- System Expertise and Integration:
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Coupa, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Concur
- Oversee the seamless integration and optimization of these systems within the finance department, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to implement system updates, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to financial processes
- IT Compliance and SOX:
- Exhibit a strong working knowledge of governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) tools like Fastpath and audit software like AuditBoard
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) within the IT systems and processes used by the finance department
- Manage IT General Controls for Finance applications to identify any potential compliance gaps and take proactive measures to address them
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure that all SOX-related requirements are met, maintaining accurate documentation and evidence of compliance efforts
- Project Management and Leadership:
- Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of finance-related IT projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment, providing mentorship and guidance to team members to encourage professional growth and development
- Monitor project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure the successful completion of all initiatives
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Engage with key stakeholders, including senior management, to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable IT initiatives. This involves effective communication of complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of IT projects, highlighting achievements, challenges, and key milestones to stakeholders at all levels
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate finance teams on the effective use of IT systems, promoting a culture of continuous learning and adoption of best practices

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration or an equivalent level of education and comparable experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of industry experience in Biotech, Pharma or Life Sciences Company
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successful collaboration between the Finance and IT departments
- 3+ years of project management experience in successfully delivering complex technology solutions within a defined Software/Systems development lifecycle
- PMP or fundamental understanding of Project Management a plus
- 4+ years of experience conducting Business or Systems Analysis
- Expertise in Coupa, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Concur is essential
- Thorough understanding of IT compliance, particularly with regard to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other relevant regulatory requirements
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions to complex business and technical challenges
- Ability to work in a small, fast-paced IT team
- Highly motivated with the ability to drive results
- Ability to work directly with business partners and end users to generate consensus around technical directions

$198,000 – $240,000 a year
At BridgeBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California is $198,000 to $240,000/year. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, and performance during the interview process. BridgeBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.
