Finance Senior Analyst/ Associate Director

Fitch Group is currently seeking a Finance Senior Analyst/Associate Director based out of our New York office.

The Finance team operates under a global management structure with the global department heads. The teams are distinguished in four regions: NA, EMEA, LATAM and APAC.

The candidate will join the Finance Managment Accounts team. Responsibilities include month-end financial close, collaboration with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting, accounting for accuracy, variance analysis, completeness of books and records of the Group’s North America entities, maintenance and development of the accounting systems, and adherence to SOX policies. The ideal candidate will have superior reconciliation skills and strong knowledge of GAAP.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Perform monthly close activities including preparing accruals, adjustments, account reconciliations, expense analysis and reporting
  • Reconciliation of various reporting ledgers, balance sheet accounts, and hierarchies
  • Collaborate with team members to provide insightful analysis and manage information for timely decision making
  • Ensure financial statement adherence to accounting policies, GAAP and SOX
  • Understand intercompany transactions (eg. FX, eliminations and analysis)

What You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, Income Statement and Balance Sheet
  • Proficiency in Excel

FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay salary range for this role is $70,000 – $85,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
