The Interco recycling facilities are separated into three departments: nonferrous metals, computers and electronics, and battery processing. The nonferrous facility is located on the 40-acre main campus in Madison (IL) while the computers and electronics are processed in Edwardsville where the Administrative and some logistics offices are located. The commercial department is located on The Hill in St. Louis.
The patent-pending 22-acre 225,000 sqft Critical Mineral Recovery™ Lithium-ion battery processing plant in Fredericktown, Missouri is scheduled to open in Q3 2023

Job Description
The Financial Accountant works with the finance and accounting department in maintaining control systems and managing company financial records. The right candidate will work to maintain the company’s accounting and financial processes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices.
The right candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision, adhere to strict timelines, and perform under pressure.
Responsibilities will include
- Assist with Accounts Receivable, including posting payments, invoicing, collections, customer communications
- Assist with Accounts Payable, as needed
- Planning and Forecasting
- Assist with settlements and shipments, including tracking advice of receipts, review of assays, and issuance of final invoices
- Support timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all operational management accounts
- Work with Controller and Assistant Controller on ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in accounting or another related degree; advanced degree a plus
- 1-5 years’ progressive accounting experience
- Familiarity with supply chain, warehouse or manufacturing environments preferred
- Advanced MS Excel skills; proficient in MS Office
- Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred
- Proactive, highly organized, and results-oriented in a fast-moving environment
- Must be able to work independently with minimal direction
- Takes initiative, is a self-starter and is proficient at establishing internal relationship
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Compensation:
- Salary $55,000-$95,000 based on experience and qualifications
