The anticipated hiring salary will be based upon experience.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL:
- Knowledge of mathematics, governmental Accounting, basic accounting, statistics and management principles and practices
- Knowledge and application of the methods of compiling, reviewing, evaluating, analyzing data, and documenting workflow.
- Knowledge of supervisory or administrative principles and practices.
- Knowledge of program planning and evaluation techniques.
- Ability to supervise people.
- Ability to prepare statistical reports.
- Ability to understand, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This is a management position that supervises, directs, and coordinates the administering of the Bureau of Financial Support Services, Disbursement Accounting Section including functions for the timely and accurate processing and/or approval, as appropriate, of vendor invoices and distribution of warrants for payment of goods received or services rendered to avoid automatic interest penalty payments to said vendors.
The employee must exercise independent judgment in formulating or assisting in the formulation of policies and procedures for Section which have significant impact in financial administration and ensuring the payment activities for the Department are accurately posted in FLAIR. This management position will maintain working knowledge of financial processes for the Section.
