We are seeking a world-class Financial Data Guru (SQL/Excel) to join our IT team. Here is your chance to help take our company to new heights.
THE ROLE
Analyze data and creatively provide solutions that bring real results for our company.
🔧 Get to build tools, dashboards and automate complex workflows.
This is a role that involves solving complex technical issues and working collaboratively with our team. You will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
Our interview process will include a technical assessment and peer code review to assess your technical proficiency.
This Financial Data Guru (SQL/Excel) position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and will require you to work from the Mastermind headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ.
We provide an excellent compensation model based on experience ranging from $90k-$110k.

REQUIREMENTS
- You must have 3+ years of experience in Financial Data Analysis and Excel Modeling
- You must have 2+ years of SQL development experience
- You musthave experience with spreadsheet manipulation in SQL
- You must be able to write custom queries to answer any question about the data without leaving a SQL environment.
- You must be able to work in person at our headquarters in Scottsdale
- You must be willing to showcase your skills through an Assessment Test, which will be required for selected candidates who already passed the first-round culture/HR interviews
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization
- Working knowledge of financial strategies
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to communicate finance information orally/visually to a non-financial audience
- Ability to work well under deadlines
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Detail-oriented and can perform in a high-pressure environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designs custom trending reports and data displays for projects and standard report formats for ongoing functions based on organizational needs for information
- Participates in internal and external research projects by collecting, reviewing, and summarizing data
- Use/develop sophisticated models to analyze financial and customer data, spot trends, and develop forecasts
- Assess data-seeking opportunities to improve data or processes, including automation opportunities
- Generates presentations, graphics, forms, and other documents to demonstrate information flow and project results
- Collect, audit, and integrate data from a variety of sources for purposes of analyzing or inclusion into research or operating reports
- Analyze data and make recommendations to department managers to improve financial operating results and/or improve the quality of outcomes
- Take a lead role in the preparation of the annual budget
- Reviews monthly operating statistics and data and prepares operating reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
