What You’ll Do:
Serves as a Financial Manager within of the Office of Grants Administration. Works closely with agency program offices in developing and implementing grants and programs. This position also manages the unit responsible for the Medicaid in Schools Program:
• Coordinates and establish agencywide grant development and management process, works closely with program/budget office(s) to implement new and established grants.
• Works with and provides guidance to agency staff to ensure federal and state requirements are met;
• Works with agency offices to develop monitoring tools and assessment;
• Coordinates and manages the Medicaid in School Program (MSP) Unit. Manages internal MSP communication and meetings with agency program offices as well Department of Medicaid and various Stakeholders;
• Provide training to grant managers and consultants on agencywide on grant processes and federal requirements (Uniform Guidance and EDGAR)
• Establish goals, policy development, and guidance to promote efficient and effective grants;
• Represent the Department, including presentations, participating in conferences, committees, and workgroups;
• Develop and present agency and office business rules and guidance for grants management and Medicaid in Schools Program.
• Participate in policy development and analysis efforts and assists in the development of policy improvement;
• Ensure the office is appropriately staffed and managed, focused on improved results, and that decisions are based on data.

Qualifications
Completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in financial administration.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 42 mos. exp. or 42 mos. trg. in financial administration.
-Or 66 mos. exp. or 66 mos. trg. financial administration.
-Or 12 mos. exp. as Financial Program Manager, 66585.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
