Job Summary:

The Financial Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in the Finance Department, responsible for the preparation, coordination, and documentation of various financial analysis projects. This role involves in-depth analysis of financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments. The Analyst also provides forward-looking analysis for financial and business-related projects, prepares forecasts, and evaluates trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, and general business conditions. Additionally, this role involves the reconciliation of internal accounts and keeping a vigilant eye on competitive environments to identify trends and developments.

Essential functions:

  1. Conduct detailed financial analysis on various projects including but not limited to:
    • Financial and expense performance
    • Rate of return
    • Depreciation
    • Working capital
    • Investments
  2. Provide comprehensive analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects.
  3. Prepare accurate and timely forecasts and perform trend analysis in areas such as manufacturing, sales, finance, and general business conditions.
  4. Reconcile internal accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  5. Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or related roles.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) and financial analysis tools.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Certifications and Licenses: None Required

Travel% Requirements: Less than 10%
