Job Summary:
The Financial Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in the Finance Department, responsible for the preparation, coordination, and documentation of various financial analysis projects. This role involves in-depth analysis of financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments. The Analyst also provides forward-looking analysis for financial and business-related projects, prepares forecasts, and evaluates trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, and general business conditions. Additionally, this role involves the reconciliation of internal accounts and keeping a vigilant eye on competitive environments to identify trends and developments.
Essential functions:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis on various projects including but not limited to:
- Financial and expense performance
- Rate of return
- Depreciation
- Working capital
- Investments
- Provide comprehensive analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects.
- Prepare accurate and timely forecasts and perform trend analysis in areas such as manufacturing, sales, finance, and general business conditions.
- Reconcile internal accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or related roles.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) and financial analysis tools.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Certifications and Licenses: None Required
Travel% Requirements: Less than 10%
