Job Location: Position is currently a hybrid status, primarily working from home. Required to come into the Columbus, OH office on an as needed basis and no fewer than once per month. Hybrid status is not a guarantee and can be subject to change.
What You’ll Do:
Responsible for managing the various financial and operational audits of the CollegeAdvantage programs: Generates the annual financial statements and reports; Generates the MD&A and footnotes for the audited financial statements; Prepares various analyses for the annual audits; Works closely with all audit teams to provide accurate and timely information for the completion of the agency audits by September 30th; Reports the financial details to the OBM for inclusion in the State ACFR. Prepares and analyzes schedules for the actuaries to conduct the annual Actuarial Valuation (including calculation of WAT) of the Guaranteed Savings Fund.
Responsible for managing the General Ledger and creating Financial Statements: Utilizes Dynamics GP and Management Reporter for Dynamics; Creates and reviews monthly & quarterly journal entries for accuracy; Produces monthly and quarterly financial statements, reports, and charts for management and the OTTA Board; Reconciles and analyzes financial reports and bank statements; Provides financial reporting analysis; Prepares, reviews and analyzes statistical data and information. Provides general financial reporting assistance and quantitative analysis to staff as needed.
Reviews fiscal year forecasting and correspondence related to fiscal and budget operations; Reviews expense coding of agency expenditures; Reviews & approves various cash deposits. Completes other budget related analysis and schedules as necessary; Process, review and/or approve daily payouts; Process, review and/or approve daily cash. Prepares, writes and reviews agency policies and procedures providing assurance of fiscal and program compliance.
Analyzes customer financial transactions in the CollegeAdvantage plan: Works with IT & Data Management and Customer Service (Operations) departments to resolve customer issues and answer customer questions; Processes and files customer 1099-Misc statements annually.
Represents the CFO at various meetings as necessary. Provides assistance to the CFO on special projects. Performs other duties as assigned for the business success of the agency.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
Three to five years of experience with general ledger and financial statements
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Management Reporter or equivalent financial software
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize on-going tasks and projects with distractions while maintaining attention to detail; Ability to meet deadlines and deal with shifting priorities
Excellent demonstrated time management and organization skills.
Preferred qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant
