POSITION TITLE:Financial System Analyst – Workday
POSITION SUMMARY:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial System Analyst- Workday supporting the Department of IT Services at Scripps Research in La Jolla, California, home to some of the world’s most renowned scientists. This is a great opportunity for someone who is excited to share great science with the community with administration, and ongoing maintenance and support of the Workday ERP platform while working collaboratively with stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Support the maintenance of the Workday ERP platform as technical expert applying best practices.
- Perform Workday administrative functions which include but not limited to user and cost center assignments, user and group security maintenance, business process configuration, tenant configuration, chart of accounts and custom work tag configuration changes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and integrated systems. Assist Software Integration Developers in testing new Workday integrations.
- Actively participate in data governance and apply data management best practices.
- Work closely with functional area subject matter experts and other stakeholders as needed to test and implement efficient solutions.
- Support Finance areas in Workday, including FP&A reporting, Expenses, Procurement, AP/AR, Projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations or other technology specific field.
- 2-5 years hands-on experience with Workday Financial in an administrative role is required.
- 2-5 years’ experience with additional ERP/CRM such as Oracle Cloud, Salesforce, SAP in an administration role is preferred.
- General knowledge of accounting practices.
- Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation.
- Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May include: Stationary position for an extended period of time, traverse campus/facility as needed, operate machinery such as computer, phone, copy machine; exposure to cold or hot temperatures.
COMPENSATON:
The expected hiring range for this position is $95,000 to $125,000/annually, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
