We are hiring a sous chef that has demonstrated culinary creativity, development of a large BOH team, control of financials, and a passion for the business. We represent upscale casual, and fine dining concepts.
Requirements
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and discipline of all staff within the department
- Coordinate cooks and BOH staff to ensure the highest quality of food and service
- Continually update and amend policies and procedures for the BOH operation
- Monitor to ensure all food prep and presentation meets and/or exceeds company standards
- Oversee all ordering or product and communication with vendors
- Lead and/or attend weekly management meetings with restaurant managers and executive leadership
- Maintain the highest level of service within all areas of the restaurant
- 2-3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef
- Experience in full service/high volume restaurant (400+ covers/night)
- Proven track record and work history (no more than 3 jobs in past 6 years)
- Ability to effectively manage a team of 20+ BOH employees
- Bilingual, English-Spanish is a plus
