Fine Dining Sous Chef

We are hiring a sous chef that has demonstrated culinary creativity, development of a large BOH team, control of financials, and a passion for the business. We represent upscale casual, and fine dining concepts.

Requirements

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and discipline of all staff within the department
  • Coordinate cooks and BOH staff to ensure the highest quality of food and service
  • Continually update and amend policies and procedures for the BOH operation
  • Monitor to ensure all food prep and presentation meets and/or exceeds company standards
  • Oversee all ordering or product and communication with vendors
  • Lead and/or attend weekly management meetings with restaurant managers and executive leadership
  • Maintain the highest level of service within all areas of the restaurant
  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef
  • Experience in full service/high volume restaurant (400+ covers/night)
  • Proven track record and work history (no more than 3 jobs in past 6 years)
  • Ability to effectively manage a team of 20+ BOH employees
  • Bilingual, English-Spanish is a plus
