The Construction Finisher Opportunity
Veev is seeking a skilled Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a diverse range of expertise in various installation tasks. As a Finisher, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including cabinet installation, flooring, stairway construction, plumbing and electrical installation, appliance setup, drywall finishing, door installation, stretch ceiling installation, vanity and countertop installation, tub and shower installation, closet organization systems, low voltage system setup, and garage door installation.
What you’ll do at Veev
- Perform precise and efficient cabinet installation ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Expertly install various types of flooring, paying attention to detail and ensuring a seamless finish.
- Construct and assemble stairways while adhering to safety standards and design specifications.
- Skillfully install plumbing and electrical systems, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
- Set up appliances with precision, ensuring they are operational and correctly integrated.
- Utilize experience in HPS and drywall finishing to achieve flawless wall surfaces.
- Install doors, both interior and exterior, ensuring smooth operation and proper fit.
- Master the art of stretch ceiling installation, providing aesthetic enhancements to spaces.
- Skillfully install vanities and countertops, paying attention to design aesthetics and functionality.
- Ensure accurate installation of tubs and showers, guaranteeing watertight and secure fixtures.
- Organize and install closet systems to maximize space utilization and organization.
- Set up low voltage systems, including wiring and connections, to enhance technological functionalities.
- Expertly install garage doors, ensuring smooth operation and security features.
Requirements, Knowledge, and Experience
- High School Diploma / GED – Required
- Strong knowledge of construction
- Prior construction or carpentry experience
- Proven experience in cabinet installation, flooring, stairway construction, plumbing, electrical work, appliance setup, drywall finishing, door installation, stretch ceilings, vanity and countertop installation, tub and shower installation, closet organization, low voltage systems, and garage door installation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment relevant to installation tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and design specifications.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to construction and installation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different project requirements.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods – lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Compensation
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the hourly pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $28.00 – $30.00 per hour, for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas. This role is also eligible for stock options, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
