Description
Position Summary: The Fiscal Coordinator is responsible for submitting accurate invoices to the funder within the required timeframe to assure prompt payment from the funder.
Essential Job Functions
- Audit, verify and consolidate all subcontractor invoices into funder required exhibits; submit exhibits to funder within the required timeframe; review, approve or reject invoices for DCF and County Schools
- Process provider cost reimbursement packets, expenditure reviews
- Audit confirmations, complete the audit checklist
- Process AP and post entries into the accounting software
- Process AR for DCF payments
- Summarize, analyze and maintain accounting records and generate reports as requested by CFO, Accountant or Accounting Analyst
- Process subcontractors payments accurately and within the required timeframe upon receipt of payment from funder
- Use Automated Clearing House (ACH) network and the CTX record format to create templates via online banking system adding new providers, transit routing and Account numbers
- Review Network Service Provider Exhibit A submission (reconciliation report for bundle payment)
- Assist with the review of provider expenditures who have different payment methodology (bundled services) to ensure that costs are allowable, reasonable and necessary
- Assist Finance Department with special projects
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Position Specific
- Exceptional skills in invoice verification and analysis
- In-depth understanding of subcontractor and funder billing processes
- Knowledge of rules & regulations related to fiscal activities
- Knowledge of contract and finance exchange system
General
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite as applicable to the position
- Ability to travel as required by the position
Required Education/Experience
- Associate’s degree in a related field and two years of experience, or a combination of education and experience
- Experience working in not-for-profit behavioral health business a plus
- Experience working with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
