Job Duties
Provide fiscal support to accurately and efficiently record and balance all financial activities. Ensures proper cash management procedures are followed. Reviews, analyzes and processes a range of data and reports in accordance with Department of Corrections, DOC and Department of Accounts, DOA, Policies and Procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting and Procurement principles and practices. Demonstrated ability to perform accurate detailed work with detailed numerical data, mathematical calculations and financial reports. Recent working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel spreadsheets. Recent working knowledge of office procedures, computers, calculators, copiers and office machines. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and guidelines and to work independently.
Additional Considerations
Working knowledge of State financial programs including Corrections Information System, CORIS, Cardinal, Offender Trust and Pay.
