Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the electric vehicle programs offered by PSEG Long Island to our fleet customers. Candidate will develop expertise in light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle electrification opportunities and challenges to help fleets overcome the barriers to making the switch to electric. The position will be responsible for identifying opportunities for conversion to electric-powered technologies, working with end-users to explain the benefits of electrification, working with tools to calculate financial and emission savings potential of conversions, presenting and discussing savings analysis, and performing inspections of work completed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers onsite at customers’ premises to provide high level assessment of electric infrastructure upgrade costs and appropriate tariff approaches for fleet conversion to electric vehicles
  • Liaison with peers in operating and customer departments to ensure projects maintain momentum to completion
  • Liaison with peers in Major Accounts and External Affairs to ensure customers are identified and receive most approporate solutions for their fleet needs
  • Educate customers on benefits of, and incentives available to, transition fleets to electric powered technologies
  • Initiate work flow processes necessary to support make ready programs in relation to fleet customers
  • Develop reports and dashboards necessary to effectively understand program activity at the cumulative and project level
  • Keep abreast of fleet implementation strategies being undertaken across the country and new technologies available to assist fleet transitions to electric vehicles

Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in Electric Vehicle transportation (EV), electric/utility, engineering, construction, account management, energy efficiency, distribution, and/or other related professional fields.
  • Must have and maintain a valid U.S driver’s license and safe driving history; must have the ability to travel to customer site locations
  • Must demonstrate strong time management skills and have the ability to work in both team and independent settings
  • Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience developing and delivering an effective and informative presentation
  • Must demonstrate exceptional customer sensitivity and a commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated analytic skills with the ability to provide consultative technical/analytical support
  • Proficiency in MSOffice Products – Excel, Access, Work and PowerPoint

Desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
  • 3+ related years experience in utility service connections
  • Strong knowledge of PSEG Long Island rate structures
  • Advanced degree
  • Prior experience in fleet management
